The postwar period was a difficult time for the Mi5 Intelligence with a significant change in the threat as the Cold war began, being challenged by an extremely active KGB. Whilst little has yet been released regarding the successes of the service there have been a number of intelligence failures which have created embarrassment for both the service and the government. This design has the 2007 imprint on the crown symbolizing the year - wink, wink!
